The Idaho Pun Slam made its comeback at the Idaho Comedy Fest 2021
Updated: Jun 2, 2021
After a year and a half of pandemic-induced hibernation, the Idaho Pun Slam returned to the stage at the Idaho Comedy Fest 2021.
The three-day festival was held at the Lounge at the End of the Universe, May 19-22. With so many comedians buzzing about the Lounge, we had quite the lineup of puntestants.
Featuring five local legends and New York comedians, the puns were HOT. Among our contestants were Boise comedians, Beth Norton, Ron Torres and Eric Cole; TikTok star FreddyG; and comedy fest headliner Matthew Broussard.

This was the first time the Idaho Pun Slam was held outdoors. All was going swimmingly until we got rained out at the end of the second round. Luckily, our puntestants and crowd were great sports. When it started to pour, the whole crowd crouched under a partially collapsed event tent. It looked quite cozy.

Beth Norton and Matthew Broussard went head-to-head for the final round on the topic, "Farming & Ranching." They both did so well, Tiffany made an executive decision to call it a tie and get them the heck out of the rain.
The next Idaho Pun Slam is June 19 at 7 pm at the Lounge, located at 2417 Bank Dr. Tickets available now. Get your tickets now to save a few bucks ($7 online, $10 at the door).
